This morning as everyone got ready for school and such, I became overwhelmed by feeling Unseen. One kid needed a note at the very last minute before she ran out the door. Another kid was complaining because, although she had plenty of socks in her drawer, her “favorite” socks were not clean. And the youngest says he needs a black Sharpie for Math. Today – if possible. I believe it is critical to know where your anchor is before the storm comes. Some days I wake up full of purpose and clarity. Other days, I wake feeling overwhelmed by things I can do, things I should do and things I don’t want to do. Here is a list (in no particular order) of 10 things I try to do when I’m tempted to give in to the paralysis that comes with fear and anxiety.
Because I love lists and you probably don’t want to read my life story, here are 10 things about me you might find interesting:
1. I was born in Ontario, Canada, but I am not Canadian. However, I am very polite.
2. I LOVE all of the Fast and Furious movies. I even went by myself to see one in the theater once. Honestly speaking, I can’t tell you what happened in which one because they all run together for me.
